I have searched all of my sources, and cannot come up with one single vector file of this dancing hot dog. If anyone can help me that would be awsome! I have ran it through vectormagic, but it does not do very weel on any setting.uploads/20080916_225056_Dancing_hot_dog.zip

Scott R, unless its a proprietary trade secret, I was wondering what line tracing program you used to make the "Dancing Dog" into a vector based file. I am using an older version of Adobe Illustrator (Illustrator CS) which doesn't have a powerful (feature rich) autotrace capability. I did find some shareware out on the web called "Delineate" which works pretty good but I'm guessing there might be even better line tracing applications available, that this community may prefer or recommend. Any thoughts? Anybody else care to weigh in on this subject or has it been beaten to death and I need to research some old posts? Any experienced advice or guidance would be appreciated here. Thank you. -JD

JD. I didn't use a trace program. I re-did it from scratch. This forum has been valuable to me, so whenever I can, I try to give back even though it's usually not very often, because I'm busy with work and small children. Just my two cents on the tracing programs, I personally don't like them unless it's a very simple design and a very good graphic, but I know sometimes you get in a pinch and don't have a choice.

whatever people may think of it, I think Corel Trace is quite good software for tracing...

Scott, I agree with you regarding trace programs. Whenever I've used one, I invariably spend a lot of additional time redrawing poorly interpreted lines and have often wondered if I just should have hand traced the image from the get go. I also wanted to say thank you to others who have responded to my query regarding this subject. I'm still looking for more responses/opinions if you have the time or interest to respond. Thanks in advance. -John
