Ok people, in Logo Objects there is a new category - Sports Uniforms. There is actual vector file of a jersey so you are free to create one for your fantasy team. Please send your designs to our standard email addresses: send@vectorportal.com and info@vectorportal.com.

Also, we expect people to send their designs for helmets. I know Crush is really good at this stuff. You have several helmets ready to be redesigned in Logo Objects section.

Don't say now it is difficult. The most difficult part is actually vectorizing helmet and jersey. Now it's up to your creative minds.

We expect your contributions.

I'm designing a vector helmet template right now,
Something that will be easier to edit but looks as good as I can get it.
All my helmets right now are done in photoshop but I am trying to get close
to that look in illustrator.

Ok So far I have this, but I need to work on the helmet some more and also make it easy for people to edit colors of Helmet Shells and Face masks. Hopefully I will be done with it for Version 1 in the next couple days. I took and modified an exsisting Vector helmet. So who ever was the original creater some props go to that illustrator. I borrowed and tweeked the basic Shell, Used the awsome Snaps, Back Bumper, Facemask brackets but made new screws. The Facemask I redrew using Thornbirds Face Mask from Thornbird.net helmets, T is a cool dude.

Example
Here is the Fantasy Team Florida Wolverine's and Deadman's Hand!

One thing to note the illustator file will be set up different then what most files look like. This will be a template with several different colors in it to get people started, I use a radial gradient to get the color effect you see.
I will also have a couple logos in the template, my favorites, the Wolverine, and a couple of Ram horns this way people can see how it is done.

I will be writing a tutorial on how to edit the helmet and facemask colors at least for illustrator. It's basically easy but for someone who may not be familure with illustator a tutorial might be good.

Perfecting the helmet a little bit, I worked on the facemask and wil be trying to  look for different types of faces masks to add to the template.

bmaric,
I sent you the Helmet,
The helmet is made up of layers and they all should be labled.
You will need to unlock the layers then open them up once you open up a layer like the Shell you can choose a different color or add your color.
Here is a quick animation of what you can do.

I also put in a couple of logos and helmet shells so you could get the idea.
Here are two of them

excellent, this is really easy to handle even for beginners. exactly like photoshop, every layer is an object that can be coloured and redesigned. I'll give it a try to design some helmets and will also upload yours right away in Helmets section in Logo Objects. I am sure people will find it easy to use and make some nice designs.

Thanx Crush.

yes, it will work in Corel. go to Logo Objects, then go to Helmets and download the helmet you prefer. If it's an eps file you will have no problem opening it in Corel Draw. Then...hm, it's up to your imagination and skill.

those helmets consist of several layers. lock all the layers you don't need and leave the main layer that contains part of the helmet where you will create your design. then start drawing...

if you want to excercise, go to Logo Objects, then to Dots Dots section and download one of those designs. Open it in Corel and try to apply it to the helmet. Play around...

FYI, I think Crush uses mainly Photoshop for his designs...

Thanks for the info. and I'll give it a try

What I really want to learn how to do is put images and logos on the Helmets.
